LPD- Learning E-Profile

The following four pieces of works are the works that i am proud of. They are related to the four topics, international understanding, contextual learning, approaches to learning and learner profile. Since school starts, we have been learning different things and they were divided into four areas:

1) International Understanding
International learning is learning something by yourself but not listen from people. For this area, i would say it is my humanaties religion poster. In this topic, we have to research and organize data by ourselves without the help from anyone. Through reading materials and data from internet and books, we learnt about the culture, beliefs, rituals of different religions. We understand by ourselves but not listen from teachers or parents.  In e-classroom, there is a guideline with instructions for you to follow, we will be successful if we follow the instructions given because it guides you to understand about the topic. 2)Contextual Learning

Contextual Learning is work that has to focus through a AOI (eg Human ingenuity, health and social education etc) and it has to be related to a real world issue. For this area, i would say it's one of my learning unit of english, Poem. Poem is focus on the AOI, human ingenuity, talking about how clever are the poetists to write such amazing and beautiful poems to express their feelings. They express their feeling through beautiful vocabularies and organized structure which makes people feel comfortable and understand what they want to tell us at the same time. In this unit, we investigate the ways of being clever like them, by writing poems, finding poetic techniques, and getting the meaning of the poem. 3)Approaches to learning

In school days, There are many learning units related to the skills of approaches to learning. Through approaches to learning, we are provided with the tools to enable us to take responsibility for our own learning. Including organizational skills collaborative skills, communication and reflection, etc....... For this area, i would say it's my school year camp to Sai Kung. We are not there for playing and having fun, but training. This camp trains you the cooperation and communication between you and your teammates, the activities required that for your team to reach success. In this camp, we have to take ourselves but not at home, people take care of you, it's time for us to grow! We have a reflection time in every night reflect on what we have done today, we reflect on how to do better and what we have to improve next time. There are some pictures and footage showing when we are showing the ATL, for example, during activities.

4)Learner Profile
The learner profile provides a long-term vision of education. It is a set of ideals that can inspire, motivate and focus the work of schools and teachers, uniting them in a common purpose. Learning profile includes: Inquirers, Knowledgable, thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, principled, caring, open-minded, balanced and reflective.

For this area, i would say it is my year camp to Sai Kung. After the year camp, back to school, we have done a year camp worksheet about the learner profile. We have to give some examples of different learner profile attitude we showed in the year camp.
